Our role

KnowTheFix publishes general cost and repair information. We are not a contractor and don’t perform work. Prices are typical market prices, not quotes.

DIY content

Our guides are general information. Gas, electrical and pressurized-water work carries real risks, and may require a permit or license where you live. Follow your equipment manufacturer’s instructions and local codes. If in doubt, hire a licensed pro. You undertake DIY work at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, KnowTheFix isn’t liable for the work performed by contractors, which is warrantied by the contractor and the equipment manufacturer.
